Truly handmade, this hand-turned spurtle is made from retired Whisky barrel oak.
These retired cask pieces have been sourced from our local cooperage in the Highlands of Scotland where the distilleries in the area send their casks for repair.

No two Spurtles will ever be the same and each are completely unique due to the grain in the wood and being hand turned. Whilst a lot of work goes in to cleaning up the wood, we leave the small imperfections in. Scorch marks, slight stains for example, as we feel it's part of the woods story. However what you will receive will be very similar to what you see in the photos.

Each Spurtle is roughly 25cm – 30cm long and gradient diameter as pictured (thickest part 1.5-2cm)
Each spurtle is treated with 100% eco and food safe oil and are easy to care for. Care instructions will be included.

PROCESSING TIMES: Average processing time is 3-5day unless otherwise specified.
